My Understanding of Reciting the Fa Rectification Verses

Before the spring festival, I was detained and tortured by the persecutors of Dafa. At the detention center, I saw those inmates who always speak foul words repeat the sacred and serious Fa rectification phrases for a joke and they repeatedly said it. I felt so bad at that moment, and I had a deeper understanding as to why teacher requires us to silently recite the Fa rectification phrases.

As true practitioners, we know the seriousness of the Fa rectification phrases although we will never completely understand the profound meaning. If anyone can hear it and can then say it casually without any sincerity and seriousness, from the perspective of Fa, isn't this disrespectful to the Buddha Fa or even slandering Dafa?

Some practitioners think that under special circumstances, reciting the Fa rectification phrases out loud can suppress and eliminate evils. I think this is looking at things with a human mentality. Sending forth righteous thoughts does not emphasize the formality; instead, the mind nature and righteous thoughts are most crucial. When we see or encounter a sudden evil torture or a dangerous situation, even if we do not sit in lotus position and hold one palm erect, reciting the Fa rectification phrases silently can turn the situation around as long as we have a steady and strong righteous mind. Therefore, I have enlightened that we should silently recite the Fa rectification phrases while sending forth righteous thoughts. This is most sacred and serious. Those who do evil will be completely eliminated by your silent yet powerful righteous mind.
