(Minghui.org) Chen Lina, a city councilor in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, was deeply inspired after reading Master Li’s article “How Humankind Came To Be.”

“Master Li Hongzhi reminded us in the article that we should do good deeds in this world so that we can accumulate merit. Making ourselves better is not for the happiness of one lifetime, but to accumulate this virtue and return to our true homes,” she said.

Chen said, “Many people may have asked themselves, ‘What is the purpose of human beings in this world?’ But no one can explain it clearly. In many religions, there are more or less discussions about this topic, but they are all abstract. Master Li is the first one to explain this matter so clearly.”

Chen Lina, a city councilor in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, was deeply inspired after reading Master Li’s article “How Humankind Came To Be.”

This article gave Chen a lot of inspiration. She said, “From the time people are born and start to grow, they are constantly pursuing career achievements, fame, and fortune. When a person dies, none of that can be taken with them. I often thought that people must have a real purpose to come to this world, but no one could explain it.

“I deeply feel the message that Master Li wants to convey to us. The real purpose of people coming to this world is to be saved and return to heaven.

“In reincarnation, people can’t remember what they did in their previous life, and they forget the real purpose of coming to this world. Often after birth, people are busy with fame and wealth, trivial matters, chasing fame and fortune, and when they get old, they feel empty. Nothing can be taken away. Master Li reminded us in the article that we should do good deeds in this world so that we can accumulate merit. Only by making ourselves better and accumulating these virtues can we return to the heavenly world we should go back to.”

She said that Master Li told us that suffering can eliminate sinful karma. In life, no matter what kind of suffering you encounter, if you’re being blamed or framed or treated unfairly, you will feel wronged and feel very uncomfortable. If you can endure these things, maybe you will get more blessings.

Chen lamented that if everyone could realize this, the possibility of people doing bad things would be low, and they would not attach importance to fame and fortune. They would pursue more altruistic careers and become better people, and the world would be a better place.

Reading Master Li’s Article is a Precious Opportunity

Master Li wrote in the article,

“So just as the universe goes through formation, stasis, degeneration, and destruction, so too do human beings go through birth, aging, illness, and death.” (“How Humankind Came To Be”)

After reading the article, Chen said, “The universe has reached the final stage of extinction. People who believe this will cherish the present moment. Because if you don’t accumulate merit at this time, you may not have a chance. At this time, it is a very precious opportunity to see this article from Master Li. He told us that this time may be the last stage of human beings. Let us accumulate more merit so that the future will be better.”

In the long history, religious circles or prophets have always said there will be an end of the world, and many predictions have been left about it. Chen Lina said, “People thought that the millennium might be the end of the world, but we were lucky to have passed the millennium. Many people have the notion that the world cannot be destroyed. We are all looking forward to a better tomorrow, however, we don’t know when life will end. I think the part I can control is how to make myself better and be a good person with noble morals.”

Chen also said, “Society is in chaos now, and people’s moral values have declined. It was natural for us to talk about etiquette, righteousness, integrity, and shame in the past, but now we must work hard to make students pay more attention to etiquette, righteousness, integrity, and shame.”

Chen finally said, “Everyone can feel that social morality has degraded to a terrible degree. If more people read the article “How Humankind Came To Be,” they would think carefully about what Master Li reminded us of. Life is not just for the pursuit of fame and fortune, but to make oneself a good person, to become a person of high morals, so that one day one can return to one’s life’s true hometown.”
