(Minghui.org) To commemorate the 24th anniversary of Falun Dafa practitioners’ protesting the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution, practitioners in France held events to expose the human rights violations. A rally was held in the city of La Rochelle in western France, the city of Nancy in eastern France, and the island of La Réunion in the overseas province. Practitioners told people about Falun Dafa and the CCP’s persecution. Many people thanked them for telling them about the current situation in China.

On July 22, practitioners from western France held a rally on Verdun Square in La Rochelle. They were from St-Lo, Vannes, Nantes, Vendée, Bordeaux and Charente-Maritime.
Many people learned about Falun Dafa and the CCP’s persecution. They signed the petition to condemn it and to express their support for Falun Dafa.
Serge Avril supports Falun Dafa.
Serge Avril is a magician and hypnotist in La Rochelle. A practitioner explained what Falun Dafa is and why it is being persecuted. Mr. Avril was touched and signed the petition to end the persecution. The practitioner gave him the periodical Minghui International and two recent articles written by Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa, which are addressed to all mankind. Mr. Avril said that he would read them.
Sylvie Gautreau said she supports practitioners' protesting the persecution.
Sylvie Gautreau said that she likes China very much, the Great Wall and the scenery of China, but not the communist regime in China, “Communism is terrible. Its rule disregards people’s lives, which makes me angry. I sign the petition, and I support your actions against the persecution and live organ harvesting. Keep up the good work.”
A retired policewoman stood in front of the booth for a long time, and listened to the speeches. She signed the petition and was touched when a practitioner presented her with an origami lotus flower.
A young couple just returned to France after living in the United States for a few years talked for a long time about the corruption of world politics and the general lack of values. After listening to a practitioner’s explanation and insights, they were moved and said that seeing this group of Falun Dafa practitioners made them feel good.
A young girl came to the booth with her mother. She told a practitioner that today’s young people have lost their direction in this society. She had a deep understanding of this, and asked for a copy of the Minghui International periodical, so she could read it at home.
Two practitioners went to the port of La Rochelle near the castle to raise awareness of the persecution, and they met people queuing up to board the boat. When they talked about the persecution in China, many people signed the petition. Two other practitioners distributed leaflets around the square.
People thanked practitioners for coming to their town and said admired their courage. Some hoped to keep in touch so that they can learn to practice Falun Dafa in the future.
Raising Awareness in La Réunion
On July 15, 19 and 20, practitioners visited the three cities of Saint-Paul, St-Pierre and Le Tampon and held separate events to expose the CCP’s 24-year long persecution.

Many people were appalled when they learned that Falun Dafa practitioners were persecuted and even subjected to live organ harvesting because of their belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
A woman and her husband who were vacationing on the Island were interested in Falun Dafa. She said she never heard of the persecution before and was shocked.

Information Day in Metz
Practitioners held a Falun Dafa Information Day in Metz in eastern France on July 20 to tell people about the CCP’s persecution. After talking with practitioners many people signed the petition to support practitioners.
