(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners peacefully protested the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) ongoing persecution in front of the Chinese Embassy at the capital of Mexico since July 2023. The practitioners also were seen at Ares Avenue and the central square, as well as in major Mexican cities such as Puebla and Morelia. The practitioners introduced Falun Gong, clarified the truth about the CCP’s persecution, and called for its end.

Practitioners on July 20 and 22 informed people that the CCP has been persecuting, imprisoning, and torturing Falun Gong practitioners since 1999. They distributed fliers to people to help them understand the truth and get to know more about Falun Gong and the persecution.
When Mr. Pablo Juárez learned of the CCP’s crimes against practitioners who, when imprisoned, are targets for organ harvesting in China, he said, “It is not right that the CCP does that to them, and the regime even removes their organs for transplant.”
Mr. Galdino Juárez also condemned the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners who persevere in their faith to be better people in China and thanked them for being told about this travesty.
The Persecution Is Wrong
In another peaceful protest in downtown Mexico City, on the busy Avenida Juárez and in front of the Alameda, practitioners raised awareness by speaking to passersby and tourists about the persecution, on July 22 and 23.

“The CCP regime must respect people’s beliefs,” said Jesús Caro, a tourist and science scholar from the city of Mexicali. “The persecution of Falun Dafa is wrong.”
“It’s unbelievable that the practitioners’ rights are not respected, even though Falun Gong practitioners in China want to be good people, they persecute them,” said Luis Campi, an aviation student.
Alberto Ayala, philosopher, and editor, was surprised to learn that the CCP persecutes those who follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance: “It is terrible that in the 21st century these types of events exist. What a shame!” he exclaimed.
Screening of Documentaries in Puebla Raises Awareness to End the Persecution
In the city of Puebla, practitioners showed films on July 12 and 13 to inform the public about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong. The audience learned about the cruelty of the persecution and condemned it.
Luis García said that the documentary impacted him by exposing situations that people are unaware of. Being informed of such atrocities motivate him, and allows him to be aware of who he is, and what he should do. He said that the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance are “universal values” and that “it is important to follow them in our daily lives.”
“The CCP is a criminal regime,” said Mrs. Estela Romeros, calling for the persecution to end soon. Teresa Durán thanked the practitioners for organizing the screening of the documentaries that expose a reality that people should be told.
Peaceful Protest in Morelia and Other Cities
On Sunday, July 23, practitioners held an event to raise awareness of the persecution in several cities. They informed the people about the CCP’s 24-year-long persecution.

Background: What Is Falun Gong and Why is the CCP persecuting it?
Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.
Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.
Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.
Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners due to persecution over the past 24 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.
There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
