(Minghui.org) The annual New York State Fair was held in Syracuse from August 23 to September 4, 2023. Practitioners set up a booth where they told people about Falun Dafa and offered free-of-charge exercise classes. It was well-received and well-liked by locals.

The New York State Fair was first held in 1841 and is the oldest and largest state fair in the United States. The fair ran for 13 days and attracted hundreds of thousands of people, who enjoyed food, music, dancing, horse races, and other entertainment.
Endless streams of people passed by practitioners’ booth each day. The melodious music as practitioners did the exercises attracted many people. Some said they had heard about Falun Dafa in the past, while others stopped to learn the exercises. People who knew about Falun Dafa said they were happy to see practitioners.

The next booth over was holding a contest with prizes to the winners. The organizer of the booth said on the microphone, “You will need to have extraordinary endurance—like that of the Falun Dafa practitioners next to me—to win a prize.”
The organizer of the booth talked to practitioners about Falun Dafa and told them he would start to do the exercises at home. He also signed the petition before the fair ended.

A woman said it took her a while to find the Falun Dafa booth. She explained that she’d talked to them last year and was happy to see them again. She signed the petition to end the persecution.

A man and his daughter lingered in front of the Falun Dafa booth for a long time. He said his wife was an English tutor for children in China so he knew about the situation in China, but he hadn’t heard of Falun Dafa. He listened to practitioners explain the benefits of the practice and about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) ongoing persecution and crimes of forced live organ harvesting. The man said he hoped Americans could do something to help practitioners in China. He signed the petition and took some truth clarification materials. He also took a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party for his wife.
An elderly couple stopped to talk, and the man said that he knew about the CCP’s ongoing persecution of Falun Dafa. They both signed the petition and took a copy of the Nine Commentaries.
A woman who is a health therapist said she was interested in Falun Dafa. She signed the petition and took some truth-clarification materials to give to the people she works with.
